The Super Falcons have recalled veterans Asisat Oshoala, Francisca Ordega and Ngozi Okobi for 2026 WAFCON warm-up games against Senegal this week in Nigeria.

Oshoala, for one, was not involved when the Super Falcons squared up against their Cameroonian counterparts in March. She has been scoring goals for her Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.

The 23-person squad by coach Justine Madugu also has  home-based goalkeeper Anderline Mgbechi, England-based Rofiat Imuran, Israel-based defender Sikiratu Isah, defender Tosin Demehin, midfielders Halimatu Ayinde and Toni Payne, and forwards Folashade Ijamilusi and Joy Omewa.

Defender Ashleigh Plumptre, who is recovering from injury, and veteran Osinachi Ohale will miss this rendezvous.

The Super Falcons will host Senegal Friday, June 5 with a second game between the two teams scheduled for Monday, June 8.

Both matches will take place at the Remo Stars Sports Complex, Ikenne-Remo.

Senegal will play hosts Morocco, Algeria and Kenya in Group A of the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations finals taking place 25th July – 16th August, while 10-time champions Nigeria will take on Egypt, Zambia and debutants Malawi in Group C.

This year’s tournament will also serve as the qualifying competition for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup finals, with the best four teams qualifying directly to Brazil, while the fifth-placed team will be involved in an intercontinental playoff tournament for an opportunity to qualify for the finals.
