President Federation Cup: States Submit Representative Teams In Men, Women Competitions

The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed receipt of the qualifiers from the states and the FCT their representatives for the National play offs of 2026 President Federation Cup.

VDCInsights reports that each state submitted two representatives for the men’s competition, some only sent in one team in the women’s competition .

As usual and common with FA Cups globally some unknown names made their way to the national play offs, which adds spice to the competitions.

In Abia State Enyimba defeated last year’s champions, Ahudiyannem 4-0, after the latter had stopped NPFL side, Abia Warriors in the semis.

Ahudiyannem FC also emerged Champions in the women’s category in Abia and so will be flying Abia’s flag in both the men and women competitions.

In the FCT, Sporting Supreme U19 and their seniors, Sporting Supreme FC will flag FCT flag, while in Gombe, Gombe United  and El-Shama FC will represent the state while newly promoted Doma FC failed to make it.

Another surprise came from Imo State where Heartland failed to make it to the national level just as they could not return to the elite league. Unknown Campus FC and OISA FC will carry the hope of the state at the national play off.

From Kaduna, newly promoted Ranchers Bees failed to make it to the national level, but Kada Warriors and ABU DLC will represent the state, while in Kano, Barau FC and Bichi First and not Kano Pillars will carry the hopes of the people of Kano.
