The Solid Miners have officially unveiled their newly acquired players and three youth players from the Feeder Team for the 2026/27 Nigeria Football Season.
The unveiling held at the Lafia City Stadium, was witnessed by the Management, Technical Crew and a handful of supporters during the week, in a ceremony that marked a bold statement of intent as we prepare for the new campaign.
Some of the unveiled players include, Goalkeeper, Cletus Anthony from Bendel Insurance of Benin City; Left Back, Sunday Dapma, from Barau FC of Kano; Centre Back, Ahmed Family, from Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna; Centre Back, Harrison Ebah from Plateau United of Jos; Defensive Midfielder, Uzochukwu Ozorji from GBS Academy of Jos; Centre Forward, Austine Onyemaechi from Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan; Shammasu Mohammed, Centre Forward, from Barau FC; Centre Forward Dabani Alao, from Plateau United of Jos; Attacking Midfielder, Muhammad Umar ‘Sugar’, from Barau FC; Mayi Seth Ademe, Attacking Midfielder, from Warri Wolves; and Attacking Midfielder, Ogbodo Kelechi Emmanuel, from Rangers’ International of Enugu.
Others are Winger, Sunday Aluko from Basira FC; Centre back, Buchi Amadi, from Kaduna United; Attacking Midfielder, Abbah Usman Ibrahim from Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi; Bitrus Philip, Attacking Midfielder, from Gombe United; Prince Bawa Oche, Winger, from King’s FC of Abuja; and Yakubu Musa David, Centre Forward from GBS Academy of Jos.
The Nasarawa United Feeder Team graduates include, Midfielder, Adamu Mohammed Amawun and Centre Back, Sanni Hassan Liman.
According to the Team Manager, Adamu Musa Galle, he said the new signings were carefully selected to strengthen key departments and deepen the squad, while the promotion of the three youth graduates reflects the Club’s commitment to homegrown talent development.
Technical Adviser, Mangut Mbwas, expressed confidence that the blend of experience and youthful energy would drive Nasarawa United toward a successful season and restore the Club’s pride in the Euromatch Nigeria Premier Football League and President Federation’s Cup for the 2026/27 campaign.
He added that with preparations intensifying, Nasarawa United is fully set to compete and make a significant impact in the 2026/27 NPFL Season.
On his part, Chairman of the Club, Solomon Babanjah, charged the players to uphold discipline, professionalism, and the winning culture of the Club as they represent the State on the national stage.Nasarawa United will face Barau FC in Kano on Sunday, 30th August, 2026, at the Sani Abacha Stadium, by 4pm in their first match of the new Euromatch NPFL campaign, with the determination to overturn last season’s 3-0 defeat in Kano, before returning home to host Bendel Insurance a week later at the refurbished Lafia City Stadium.
