The Director-General/CEO of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Comrade Philip Shaibu, has rewarded another set of staff members for their consistent and active participation in the Institute’s weekly aerobics and keep-fit sessions.
The latest recipients, Salihu Hajaratu and Ekhaisomi RoseJoy, both from the Medical Unit, were recognised for their commitment to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle through the Institute’s fitness programme.

The initiative, which is part of the DG’s efforts to promote staff wellness, discipline and a culture of fitness at NIS, has continued to encourage greater participation in the weekly sessions.
Speaking on the initiative, the DG reaffirmed that more staff would be rewarded in October, November and December, while expressing his commitment to extending the recognition to the Lagos Office and the six zonal offices.
As part of the December reward, the office that records the highest level of active participation among the Athlete Development Centre, Lagos Office and the six zonal offices will receive a trophy personally presented by the DG.
The ongoing initiative reflects the DG’s commitment to building a healthier, more disciplined and physically active workforce, while strengthening unity and teamwork across the Institute.
