Bayern Star, Kane Wins Europe’s Golden Shoe

England captain and Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane will be presented with his second Golden Shoe award for finishing as top scorer in Europe last season.

Kane has thus joined an exclusive circle of players who have won the Golden Shoe twice – only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have managed it more often.

The trophy will be presented on Wednesday, August 19 at the FC Bayern Museum.

The England captain capped another truly remarkable season with a total of 36 goals – the same tally that earned him the award two years ago.

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl remarked: “Harry is not only a finisher, but a master of invisible moments, because much of what makes his game so exceptional cannot be seen at first glance: his timing, his awareness of his teammates and the way he opens up space define him.

“His goals are the roof, but beneath that lies a foundation of football intelligence, team spirit and tireless work for the team.”

In the past season, Kane scored 73 goals in 65 competitive matches for club and country, and he also provided eight assists. This gave him the second-highest single-season goal tally of the 21st century – only Messi managed more in the 2011/12 campaign.

With his goals, he was a guarantee that Bayern won the league title, the Supercup and the DFB Cup – in the final in
Berlin he scored a hat-trick and finished as top scorer in the cup competition.

Kane was also the Bundesliga’s leading goalscorer for the third time in a row.

In the Champions League, he was the second-highest goalscorer in the 2025/26 season. Kane is furthermore the fastest player ever to reach 100 goals for one club in any of Europe’s top five leagues.
