100 Days In Office: Kwali Area Council Leadership, Indigenes, Residents Roll-out Drums

The Executive Chairman, Councilors, Management team and staff of Kwali Area Council, of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, along with the traditional institutions, Indigenes, and residents of the Council, have rolled out the drums and red carpets to mark the first one hundred days in office of the current administration, led by Hon.Nuhu Daniel Kwali.

The twin events, which commenced at 10am, at the  secretariat of the Area Council, in addition to celebrating the achievements of the current administration, also marked the 30th Anniversary of the creation of Kwali Area Council, one of the six councils of the FCT.

In his goodwill message, Senator Philip Aduda who represented the Minister of the FCT, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike thanked the people for their love and support for the All Progressive Congress (APC), and urged them to vote massively  in the upcoming general election, for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other candidates of the party at all levels, to show appreciation for the Hon.Nuhu administration, so that he can deliver to them more dividends of democracy.

The ceremony which was like a mini-carnival, was  attended by traditional rulers led by the Etsu Kwali, a first Class Chief in the FCT, His Royal Highness Luka Ayedoo Nizassan III; and in unison with the locals, they  honoured their illustrious son (Hon. Nuhu) for the service he has rendered since taking over the mantle of leadership, on June 15, 2026.

Also at the ceremony, were stalwarts and supporters of the ruling party (APC), and residents of Kwali town, that’s Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, and Ebira communities, who grace the occasion in their distinct colours and uniforms, in appreciation of the projects and relative peace they are enjoying.

Varied traditional group of dancers, drummers, women political and cultural groups, and associations dressed in their spackling attires; added glamour to the gathering, amidst tight security provided by the Nigeria Police, Civil Defence, Nigeria Immigration and local vigilante.

The three tier Kwali Area Council @ 30 anniversary cake, decorated in Green and White Colours of Nigeria was later cut, by Senator Aduda, the Etsu Kwali, and other dignitaries, watched by a cross section of residents, cut across various ethnic nationalities.

The ceremony tailed off with Senator Aduda, the Chairman, his Management team, and other dignitaries handing over  empowerment tools, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding engines (petrol), generators Toyota Siena cars 4, Toyota Corolla car 1, and cartons of agro chemicals for farmers, to already pre-qualified  beneficiaries, and was rounded off with six kilograms of cooking gas, gifted to each household that showed up with a cylinder.
