President Donald Trump has been honoured by World Football Governing body FIFA for his role in global peace agreements.

Trump received the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize on Friday during the ceremonial draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, in an event that blended international sports with geopolitics and positioned the president as a global peacemaker

The award, presented at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., marked the first time FIFA has issued a Peace Prize.

FIFA officials framed the honor as recognition of Trump’s involvement in multiple recent peace agreements—from the Middle East to Southeast Asia and Central Africa—and his stated commitment to global unity.
