The final of the 2025 Zenith Bank Women’s Premier League was a gathering of the top echelon from the Nigeria Basketball Federation, the National Sports Commission led by the Chairman, Shehu Dikko, and from Zenith Bank led by the GMD/CEO,Dame ( Dr )Adaora Umeoji ( OON), who kept her words to be physically present at the final.
It is not often that you get to see leaders promise to be at an event, that do not add to the bottom line per se, and honour their words. When the leadershhip of the sponsors grace an event, it underscores their commitment, passion and love for what they are doing and invariably implies the beneficiaries are also doing well.
The supervisory NSC coming to the finals also signposts their appreciation of what Zenith Bank has been doing over the years with Basketball and to say thank you for helping the Commission pursue its developmental agenda.

It is unarguable that without the massive support of Zenith Bank, the sport would definitely not the dominant force it is in the continent and it is not a coincidence that the women that the Bank is supporting are the leaders in Africa.
Dolphins Basketball Club Lagos defeated another Lagos side, First Bank 61-55 to win the 2025 title and smile home with N7.5m.
