Super Eagles Camp Opens In Polokwane In SA

The Super Eagles Coach, Eric Chelle and his backroom staff have arrived the camp of the team in Polokwane, South Africa ahead of this weekend’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash against Lesotho at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The Super Eagles camp opened on Monday, October in South Africa and the players are all expected to fly directly to the Rainbow country from today.(October 6)

The team is expected to officially commence preparations for the game on Tuesday, with all the players in camp given the importance of the two remaining matches.

The match day nine encounter on Friday, October 10 against the Crocodiles of Lesotho holds so much importance to the Super Eagles and their dream of playing at the 2026 mundial.

Nigeria’s last group game will be against Group C leaders,The Cheetahs of Benin Republic on October 14 in Uyo, before knowing whether they picked the sole group

Though Chelle last week called up 23-man squad but injuries to two players have now forced him to tinker with the list replacing the duo of Bright Osayi-Samuel and Cyriel Dessers with Zaidu Sanusi of FC Porto and Uche Chrisantus of Crystal Paalce.
