Sec.Gen. Of C/W Handball Asssociation, Jibril Ojih Becomes New President of Handball Federation of Nigeria 

The representative of the North Central,Jibril Saidu Ojih has been voted the new President of the Handball Federation Federation of Nigeria (HFN).

Ojih, who is presently the Secretary General of the Commonwealth Handball Association  defeated John Oris, representative of the South-South Zone, by 9-5 votes. 

The polls conducted at the Indoor Sports Hall, of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, also produced season sports administrator, Otunba Sylvester Ikuejamoye as 

Vice President. 

Like in the presidential election, Otunba Ikuejamoye  defeated Dr. Toyin Aluko 9-5.

Earlier on, Gbenga Arole defeated Mr. Osawe 5-1 to emerge as the South-West Zonal Representative on the board. 

Outgoing President of the HFN Samuel Ocheho has congratulated Jibril Saidu Ojih on his election as President of the Handball Federation, and wished him success as he steers the handball fraternity in Nigeria to enviable heights. 

Ocheho also thanked the entire Nigeria Handball Family for the huge support he received in the last eight years.

‘I warmly congratulate Jibril Saidu Ojih, on his well-deserved election as the new President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN).’

“Mr. Ojih has been one of the strong pillars behind the steady progress of handball in our country. His commitment, passion, and contributions to the game have been invaluable, and I am confident that under his leadership, handball in Nigeria will continue to grow in strength and stature.’

He concluded ‘It has been an honour to serve the Federation and work alongside individuals like Mr. Ojih who share a deep love for the sport. I have no doubt that his tenure will build on our collective achievements and take Nigerian handball to even greater heights.’

Ocheho also thanked the entire Nigeria Handball Family for the huge support all these years.
