As part of its efforts to reposition the insurance sector in the country, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has launched a new redesigned and digitized website.
The redesigned and digitized website, which went live on Wednesday, August 20, is fashioned to improve user experience, enhance transparency, and provide seamless access to vital information on insurance regulations, policies, and industry developments.
The upgraded website comes with a range of improved features that include a more user-friendly navigation system that allows stakeholders and members of the public to easily locate relevant information, as well as dedicated sections for industry insights, updates on regulatory policies, and best practices shaping the Nigerian insurance landscape.
It also hosts a library of NAICOM’s publications, guidelines, and reports, serving as a vital resource hub for operators, researchers, and policymakers.
In a statement issued in Abuja, NAICOM said the initiative is in line with the Federal Government’s broader drive to modernize public institutions through technology-driven reforms.
The Commission also explained that the redesigned website forms part of its wider digitization agenda, aimed at improving efficiency, accountability, and service delivery across the insurance sector.
In addition, the website provides a more accessible channel for direct engagement, with clear contact information for NAICOM officials, allowing stakeholders to make inquiries, provide feedback, and seek clarifications on regulatory matters.
In the meantime, the Commissioner for Insurance, Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, described the project as a milestone in the Commission’s ongoing commitment to transparency and industry growth, stressing that the redesigned website reflects NAICOM’s vision of leveraging digital tools to build trust, strengthen regulatory oversight, and foster a vibrant insurance sector that contributes meaningfully to Nigeria’s economic stability.
Omosehin said at the event “We are excited to unveil our new website, which will serve as a valuable resource for the insurance industry, stakeholders, and the general public,” . “Our goal is to provide a platform that is informative, user-friendly, and responsive to the needs of our stakeholders. By improving accessibility and transparency, we hope to deepen public confidence in the industry and encourage wider participation in insurance.”
Since the coming on board of the Omosehin, the Commission has been rolling out initiatives to improve market confidence, strengthen consumer protection, and expand insurance penetration in the country.
The launch of the redesigned website is seen as NAICOM’s drive to align the country’s insurance regulatory framework with global best practices.
The public has been encouraged to explore the new website at www.naicom.gov.ng and engage with the Commission through its official digital platforms and social media channels.
