Morocco has become the first African country to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in United States of America, Canada and Mexico.
The Atlas Lions humiliated Niger Republic 5-0 on Friday in their first match at the redeevloped Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium which gave them a sixth consecutive win in the qualifiers to book their passage to the mundial.
The win took Morocco’s tally of points in Goup E to 18, with Tanzania their nearest challenge on 10 points,while Zambia and Niger are on 6points apiece.

A brace from Ismael Saibari, and others from Ayoub El Kaabi, Hamza Igamane, and Azzedine Ounahi were more than enough to guararntee the win that landed them at the world cup.
They are the only team in the continent with a 100% record in the qualifiers, and the first to book their ticket .
Having qualified for the mundial, the Atlas Lions will be looking forward to replicate their fairy-tale run at the 2022 world cup in Qatar, where they became the first African team to reach the semi final of the mundial.
