The two domestic workers’ unions in the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund,(NSITF) have made case for amendments to the NSITF Act 1993 and ECA 2010 to enhance the Fund’s efficiency and service delivery.

In their letter written to the Minister of Labour and Employment, the two unions also expressed their workers’ support for steps taken so far by the. NSITF Management team to amend the enabling Acts.
The letter jointly signed by Bala Tijani, President ASSBIFI and Simon Wenzamma, Chairman, NUBIFIE respectively lauded the on-going reforms initiated by the current Management team of NSITF led by Olúwaṣeun Faleye to reposition the Insurance Trust Fund
The Unions highlighted measures taken taken so far to reposition the NSITF, which include stoppage of the digitalisation contract (E-NSITF) and facilitation of amendments to the NSITF Act 1993 and the Employees’ Compensation Act 2010.
