Former National Chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council, Peter Ameh has slammed the All Progressives Congress,APC dominated National Assembly for muzzling opposition.
Ameh described the APC dominated Legislature’s action over the Electoral Act repeal and reenactment Bill 2026 as the brutal tyranny of the majority.
He said the ruling party has unleashed Majoritarian Tyranny on the National Assembly, which he noted has now become “a prison of the people” .
The former IPAC National Chairman stated “brutal tyranny,— that’s exactly what the APC is shamelessly inflicting on the National Assembly right now.”
He said “They are mortally afraid of transparent, credible elections because they are widely despised, thoroughly rejected, and utterly detested by the vast majority of Nigerians.”
Ameh stressed that “The resolute, fed-up people will obliterate them at the ballot box, “adding “Majoritarian tyranny has no place in our democracy.”
He concluded “The awakened people will crush and decisively defeat them come 2027.”
