Ace Broadcaster, Bako Hails President Tinubu For Renewed Hope For Football In Nigeria

The former Director Director General, Mallam Danladi Bako has welcomed the fresh air blowing across the NFF with the resignation of the board led by Ibrahim Gusau.

Bako, who was a former Sokoto State FA Chairman had thrown his weight behind the call for for Gusau’s resignation in order to save Nigeria’s football from further decline.

In a terse statement made available to VDCInsights Bako praised President Bola Tinubu for the changes taking place in the NFF towards laying the foundation for a brighter football ecosystem.

According to him ‘In his usual , reliable manner characteristic of a father and leader President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has in a very matured and discreet way ensured a peaceful and rancour-free transition within the football ecosystem in Nigeria. ‘

He added ‘Without overt control he ensured that there is now a “Renewed hope” for football in the country.’

Bako also noted ‘More importantly he has directed proper and enduring reforms must be entrenched in the running of the football super-stucture  of the country while ensuring the the organic growth of grassroots football, age-group football and the senior national teams are given the necessary and adequate attention for their quality development.’
