Haaland Slams Critics Of Bellingham, Thumbs Up World Cup Exploits

Norway forward, Erling Haaland has commended England midfielder, Jude Belligham for his exploits so far at the World Cup and slammed those criticising him.

Haaland who was reacting to the exit of Norway also implored Bellingham not to feel bad about knocking him and his country out of the World Cup because there is no need.

The Manchester City forward said “He was absolutely unbelievable out there and that that is why I never understood the criticism out there’

He further wondered “They keep saying he does not score goal enough.They keep saying he is overrated but come on, he is only a midfielder and he still scores two goals at the World cup quarter final..Not many players could do that.

Haaland pointed out “I have known that for years.We go back to Dortmund.He was only 17 when we met We train together and we laugh together You can’t like someone that genuine.

He stressed “I watched him grow into one of the best players in the world.That is brothers for you.The shirt changes but for you, but that is football for you.”

On the world cup exit, Haaland said “One of us had to lose , it hurts It is the World cup but watching him play I was proud of him.Maybe that sounds strange,but it is true.If it can’t be me, I hope it is him.I hope he brings it home.”

He concluded” We play for different countries, we wanted a different result at the quarter final match,but some things don’t change, even when he is playing against me, I’ll always want best for him’
