Coach Eric Chelle has made last minute changes to his Super Eagles’ squad ahead of upcoming Unity Cup Tournament in England, UK.
Belgium’s Genk FC winger Yira Sor and NPFL side Shooting Stars’ defender Tijani Al-Ameen are the latest Eagles listed to join the team.
Chelle was left with no choice to alter his squad after Swedish club AIK blocked recuperating Zadok Yohanna from the tournament that gets underway in London Tuesday 26 May 2026.
Former Flying Eagles winger Yira Sor made his Super Eagles debut in March, while the 3SC star Al-Ameen is uncapped.
Al Ameen’s invitation has now swelled the number of NPFL players called up for the invitational tournament to eight.
Nigeria will open defense of their Unity Cup against Zimbabwe in the first semi-final next Tuesday at the Charlton Athletics Stadium, The Valley.
India and Jamaica will clash in the second Semifinal the next day at the sane venue.
Championship match between semifinal winners will hold on 30 May 2026 with bronze medal game coming up hours earlier
