APC Stalwart, Omosehin Tasks Nigerians On Patriotism, Unity, Love

A philanthropist and House of Representatives hopeful, Bamidele Omosehin has called on Nigerians to be patriotic and unite as a people to overcome the current socio-economic challenges in the country.

Omosehin made the call on Saturday in a statement commemorating his birthday celebration.

The leading contender in the race to represent Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency in House of Representatives in 2027 general elections on the platform of All Progressives Congress(APC), emphasised the need for the people to join hands with all security agencies to tackle security issues at the community level.

Omosehin said: “It is important that the citizens should love the country and one another. This will enhance the unity that once existed in our country rather than the advocacy for regional loyalty.”

“Our love for one another is an important tool to end poverty, hunger and insecurity, particularly, the activities of terrorists in the country.”

He added “The Federal Government and all state governments should work in synergy towards bringing insurgency to an end.

Omosehin stressed “It is an obvious fact that we need foreign assistance in the fight against insurgence which has deeply affected the nation’s socio-economic development.

He emphasised that if more citizens could be patriotic, there would be an end to hunger, poverty and killings of innocent souls.

The Iju-Odo-born philanthropist, who distributes working tools, food items and cash to youths and indigent people, including widows in Okitipupa Local Government Area from time to time, charged the youth to celebrate the Valentine’s Day with care.

“I, therefore, charge our youths to celebrate the popular Valentine’s Day festival with decorum and avoid any anti-social activity.”
