Super Eagles Hit Top Three In Africa After AFCON Bronze Winning Effort

Hard work and success have their reward and so it is with the Super Eagles whose impressive run at the just concluded AFCON has shot them up in the latest monthly FIFA ranking.

The bronze winning effort of the team has seen the three-time African champions finish just behind winners Senegal and hosts Morocco.

According to the FIFA rankings released on Monday evening, the Super Eagles climbed 12 places, moving from 38th to 26th in the world. 

The surge also places Nigeria third on the African continent, underlining the team’s growing competitiveness at the highest level.

Morocco maintained their position as Africa’s highest-ranked team, followed by Senegal in second place, while Nigeria completed the continent’s top three.

Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Tunisia, DR Congo, Mali and South Africa

The latest ranking is expected to further boost confidence within the Super Eagles camp as preparations continue for upcoming international engagements.
