Algeria,Morocco,Egypt Lead Africa’s WC Potential Qualifires

North African teams seem to be enjoying better run for qualification for the 2026 World Cup.with Algeria, Egypt and Morocco leading the charge.

These three countries are likely to be the first to book their tickets to the World Cup, all other things being equal.

Meanwhile, Algeria has taken a major step towards qualifying for the next edition of the World Cup, given their win against Botswana.

On Thursday, the Fennecs battled hard to secure a 3-1 victory over Botswana in a Group G clash on matchday 7.

They now have 18 points, putting them 6 points clear of their closest rivals, Mozambique, who will face Uganda on Friday, September 5.

A possible draw would be enough for Algeria, who could punch their ticket to the World Cup,if they win their next match against Guinea—provided Mozambique is once again held to a draw by Botswana in their matchday 8 encounter.

If Algeria qualifies for the world cup,it will be their fifth appearance having featured in the World Cup four times, specifically in 1982, 1986, 2010, and 2014.”
